Stoneleigh Wild Valley Marlborough Chardonnay (750mL)
Stoneleigh Wild Valley Marlborough Chardonnay (750mL)
The ultimate expression of our minimal intervention winemaking philosophy, Stoneleigh Wild Valley is crafted using fruit picked at optimum ripeness and is wild fermented by the micro-flora that occur naturally in the Rapaura environment.
Stoneleigh Vineyard is situated in the heart of the Rapaura area on the northern side of the Wairau Valley in Marlborough, New Zealand. Within 2km of the Wairau River and the Richmond Ranges, our home lies within an area known locally as the ‘Golden Mile’ of vineyards.
As evidence of an ancient riverbed, Stoneleigh takes its name from the stones that cover our vineyard – land that’s now home to some of the oldest grafted Sauvignon Blanc blocks in Marlborough. The stones store and reflect the sun’s heat up into the vines, enhancing the ripening process and contributing to the unique taste of Stoneleigh wines.
Tasting Note:
Aromas of nectarine, white-fleshed peaches, citrus peel and cream join with smoky toasty oak notes. There are also nuances of vanilla and a chalky minerality. The palate is well-structured and well-integrated showing lovely peach, citrus and caramel flavours with an oaky complexity - while demonstrating textural weight and balance with a soft, creamy finish.

I’d forgotten how delicious this wine is - for some reason we can’t buy it any more at any of our liquor outlets in Brisbane. Had to go online to find it. Very happy now!
I have tried many Pino Gris , but Ta Ku is by far the best . It is yummy
