Winemakers Comments
This wine is a deep magenta colour with hints of purple. Complex aromas of plum compote, baking spices, vanilla and toasty oak continue to evolve in the glass. The palate is rich and concentrated with firm tannins, and the highlighted sweet fruit flavours are balanced by good acid structure.
Notes of blackberry and black cherry are followed by charry oak and subtle spice. The finish is persistent and generous, with hints of dark chocolate.
About the Winery
The fruit was machine harvested from our premium Stoneleigh vineyards, between 7th and 14th March. It was brought to the winery immediately and crushed into small, open-top fermenters with temperature control. After ambient soak the ferment started with no added yeast.
The cap management was decided after daily tasting, and plunging, rummaging or pumpover took place twice per day. The wine was macerated on skins for up to 23 days before pressing.
Drained wine and pressings were combined and the wine went to oak. After malolactic the wine matured for 8 months in barrel and tank, before blending, stabilising and filtering to bottle.

Love this Pinot Noir - super smooth and a great flavour.
Love the taste. Easy drinking red.
Although the 19 crimes blend is by far my favourite, I was keen to try the whole Red series, The Shiraz was very nice and I would definitely recommend this and the other 19 crimes to anyone 🙃
Easy to drink with plenty of flavours
